Penny Black & Sketch Saturday.

Hi everyone and a Happy Saturday to you all and to all my American visitors a Happy 4th July...I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

If you want to join in with the 4th July celebrations we have two fun challenges this week...

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Red, White & Blue
A colour challenge this week at PBSC 'Red, White & Blue'....It is suprising just how many varations of these colours there are...just take a look at the DT cards this week...all so different and beautiful as always.

This weeks prize is from our new sponsors Clair & Sharni ~ who are Stamping Up Demonstrators and they have donated this fabulous 'From The Garden' stamp this week

and will also be sponsoring us on the first Saturday of every month.

After rummaging through my papers for some time I finally decided on these pretty papers by Creative Imaginations...they do have a little bit of green in them but not too much...I think I might just pass the challenge :)

The image is another vintage PB stamp from Dick at PB Stamps. I have coloured the image with Copics and I have cut it out and mounted it onto the card with dimensional tape. The Cherry charm came from The Hobby House along with the pretty bead caps.

Recipe
Stamps: 'Sweet Pickins' (315K) by Penny Black and the sentiment stamp is by Whiff of Joy.
Colouring Medium: Memento Ink & Copic Sketch markers.
Papers: Creative Imaginations.
Tools: 'Embossed Scallop' border punch by Martha Stewart, 'Floriano'& 'Starflower' punches by McGill
Bead Caps & Cherry Charm are from The Hobby House.

Sketch Saturday ~ Gills Sketch

It's DT week at Sketch Saturday this week and Gill has designed a fabulous sketch...with the added option this week of an American Theme... either Red White & Blue or Stars & stripes...or in my case both! :) lol

Our sponsor again this week is
and Christine is very kindly offering any CC design stamp set or 4 individual CC design stamps of the winners choosing.

We had some sad news this week :( my lovely DT buddy Mariska has had to leave the DT due to other commitments....I miss you already sweetie but I will be popping by your blog to visit you often and I wish you all the best!

This week we are joined this week by a new GD Gitti who makes the most beautiful cards so pop over to her blog and say hi and you can look at all of her fab creations while you are there :)

Gills Sketch

Well I had to put my thinking cap on for this challenge as I don't own any 4th July stamps... I only had a stamp of the US flag that was part of a set by The Greeting Farm....so I thought I would adapt this Edwin image...he was originally holding a butterfly net and so for fun I have replaced it with the US flag

The image was coloured with Copics and the papers are a digi download and the stars are from a mixed bag of table confetti that I got on a recent shopping trip to Hobbicrafts along with the ribbon.

Recipe
Stamps:
'Chasing Edwin' by Magnolia and the US flag came from the 'Hero' set by The Greeting Farm.
Colouring medium: Memento Ink & Copic Sketch Markers.
Sentiment: Computer generated.
Papers: All digi downloads from Sweet Shoppe Designs.
Ribbon & Stars: from Hobbicrafts

Must dash off to the supermarket now as the cupboards are empty and Jack is making hungry noises! lol

Have a Great weekend!
